This has been written by others to describe my art: Photographer and artist Tine Hauge Lien from Eidsvoll creates atmospheric images where photography meets painterly expression. She works with a multilayer technique, in which several photographic layers, textures, and details are placed on top of one another and merge into a new motif. Tine herself describes how she overlays elements onto portraits and combines multiple photographic layers to give the motifs a new dimension.

The result is poetic and often dreamlike images with traces of history, vulnerability, and beauty. The works invite the viewer to pause and discover something new – perhaps even something the artist herself had not anticipated when the image was created.
